General Product Information

Strapping is useful in a variety of applications to effectively secure product to a skid or for bundling items together. Steel, poly and cord strapping is available in various widths and tensile strengths.

Products

Regular Duty Steel Strapping

  • 3/8" - 3/4”
  • For general use/ machine grade quality
  • Available in various break strengths

Specialty Steel Strapping

  • No paint, no wax steel
  • Stainless steel strapping

High Tensile Steel Strapping

  • ½" - 2"
  • For heavier loads
  • Available in various break strengths - Call for AAR approved
  • Oscillated or ribbon wound
  • High shock resistance
  • Use with manual, combination, or pneumatic tools

Polyester Strapping

  • Machine and hand grade
  • For medium and heavy duty applications
  • Low elongation - Retains tension longer than polypropylene
  • Rigid - Nick and tear resistant
  • Recyclable
  • Use with seals or friction weld tools

Polypropylene Strapping

  • Machine and hand grade
  • General use - Light duty applications and bundling
  • High elongation - Low retained tension over time
  • Smooth or embossed
  • High shock resistance
  • Use with seals, buckles or sealless friction weld tools

Cord Strapping – Woven, Bonded, Composite

  • One of the strongest non-metallic strapping materials available
  • Weather-resistant
  • Excellent shock resistance
  • Won't scratch or damage surfaces
  • Use buckles or seals for heavier loads - Hand tie for light-duty applications
  • One-color print is available

Seals

Open/Semi-open

  • Snapped onto overlapping strap ends either before or after tensioning, to maintain strap alignment when applied prior to tensioning

Closed

  • Closed seals are threaded onto the overlapping strap ends prior to tensioning, to maintain strap alignment
